alright since i cant say much in that lets make a new one.....
Wizzy or a mage......
now countless people say a mage is 'right' behind a wizzy ion dmg and i can say ive played one 60geo(cousins) and he didnt do alot of dmg but badi elder did lol
thats wut i heard about alchs. I still need to lvl up an alchy to check that info above 60 and stuff. but yea a wizzy shud be able to out dd a alchy into the high 50s np
Going back to the original question, at 40 my alch was hitting for almost 1300 on a normal potion, over 1k on her AoEs, that being at phantoms. So if the tank is pulling back a few mobs, xome pretty good damage and I was outdamaging the wiz in grp by far, I was the only one who pulled aggro and, at lvl 40 I was also able to take repeated quads from them without a heal.
As for a mage, if you're comparing a geo to a wiz, no contest. Geo is a pet tanking/solo class. The main damage class for a mage is pyro, and EL is one of the best DDs in the game. Add to that it buffs its owners FR nukes and debuffs FR on all mobs and you do have some serious damage, though I', not sure it'd keep up with a chain casting wiz.

Well jsut because you pulled doesnt mean anything, for this only reason, wizzys have a concussion line...we reduce the hate so it wont attack us, now I personallly dont use it, I LOVE getting hit on my wizzy, im like a weak ass tank on him lol...but to take a hit at 40 from phants is pretty good, I dont remember at 40 if I could take a hit from them or not, but now I can lol, but I still like going to TFG's and soloing there.
And true about the badi, but someone told me a Geo can outmatch a wizzy's DMG....so I just happened to know someone with a GEO...
Heh heh, just got my alch to 45 last night and finished the abil quest. With 410 wis (I still have to get the next stat max) She fires single hit potions off for about 1580 now I think.
Oh, and Cel, alchs definitely don't have a problem with power. A well built one can burn all of it and in 3 ticks get it all back, providing you have the hp/HoT/PR to do it. Makes the PoT cms pretty much useless by themselves except at low levels. Easiest way to do it is max your wis and leave your int at base, keeping your power pool down. When you draught, it gives a set tick, so the smaller your pow pool, the more of your mana you'll get back. At 43 I had about 2300 power on my alch I think, and in two ticks of a draught I had full mana again and could just start unloading. Once you get to 45 and get your quest ability even that isn't a problem. You get an unbreakable draught which works just like the rest, but you can cast, attack, etc and it keeps going. Giving you basically unlimited mana.
Worst thing about an alch... making the potions after you get a spell, lol.
(Oh, and I was pulling every time on the first or second hit)
